Program Outcomes

Upon completion, graduates with an A.S. Degree in Business Management will have the following competencies:

  • Self-Management / Interpersonal Skills—As a reflective practitioner, manage and interpret interactions wtih others.
  • Internet and Information Technology—Integrate and leverage the use of the internet and information technology to inform tactical decisions.
  • Problem-Solving / Decision Making—Identify problems and assist in developing creative solutions.
  • Planning / Organizing—Set goals based on required objectives. Meet goals on a timely basis.
  • Creativity / Innovation—Discuss new and creative ideas using current concepts and elements.
  • Financial Intelligence—Interpret financial information to support decision making.
  • Analytical Skills—Systematically and objectively gather, record and analyze data for aid in making decisions. Apply logical thinking to this process.
  • Adaptability—Recognize and describe when changes in the environment require adjustments to plans.
  • Functional Competence.—Use a combination of knowledge, skills and behavior to effectively perform within their area of expertise.

  • Internet and Information Technology—Integrate and leverage the use of the Internet and information technology to inform tactical as well as strategic decisions.
  • Problem-Solving / Decision Making—Identify problems, develop creative solutions, and compare the resource needs, including staffing, versus their availability for effective implementation.
  • Planning / Organizing—Prioritize and set goals based on objectives and availability of limited resources. Meet goals on a timely basis.
  • Creativity / Innovation—Cultivate new ideas using current concepts and elements. Apply these new ideas to innovative products, solutions and to the development of human capital.
  • Financial Intelligence—Interpret financial information to support decision making. Identify how applying different financial lenses leads to different conclusions.
  • Integrative Intelligence—Use a systems perspective to integrate many pieces of information into a single precept for decision and action.
