Seven Years, One Memoir, and a Complete Reinvention: Jenn's Educational Journey

Published:

"If I could sum up my academic journey in one word, it would be inspiring," says Jenn T., reflecting on her seven-year path to a Master's in Organization Development and Human Relations from Champlain College Online (CCO). What began as a few classes while pregnant evolved into a transformative experience that saw Jenn navigate motherhood, publish a memoir, and ultimately leave a 15-year corporate career behind. "I spent the first 15 years of my career very—'What's the next step?' and kind of climbing that ladder," she explains. "And I think I learned along the way that your dreams can pivot and they can pause, they can shift."

Jenn's story exemplifies how education can often serve as a foundation for broader life transformations. CCO's strength-based approach to organizational development resonated with her personal values, supporting her courageous decision to reimagine her future. Her journey reminds us that education is rarely linear and often serves as a catalyst for unexpected growth. "This year has really been about completion for me," she shares. "I feel like I'm sort of at the beginning of a new chapter that I don't know what's going to look like, and it's just really powerful to celebrate that."
