The training you received during your time in the Armed Forces can transfer to Champlain College Online. We accept the maximum credit for military education and training based on the ACE Military Guide and the requirements of your program of interest at Champlain. Our admission team, with your permission, will request your transcripts for you. In the event that we cannot, or if you would like to do it yourself, follow one of the links below to learn more about how to send your official transcript to us.
- Credit is awarded for military service school courses, occupational specialties and ratings as documented on the Joint Services Transcript (JST)
- Air Force personnel are awarded credit for military education and training based on the Community College of the Air Force transcript Air Force - CCAF Website
Champlain College Online offers Prior Learning Assessment at no cost. A portfolio assessment of life and work experience is available to demonstrate college-equivalent learning acquired through training, work, and other life experiences. If you believe you have significant non-academic or documented experience (not previously evaluated for credit equivalences by ACE, NCCRS or institutional validation) you may want to consider this option.

- Grant permission for our team to request official transcripts on your behalf; we will let you know if there are any you need to request yourself.
- Once transcripts are received, you will receive your official transfer credit evaluation
- Apply for tuition assistance through your military branch portal (see branches below)
- Register for courses – your academic advisor will assist you with degree planning
