Certificate Programs at CCO

Design your education to meet your goals.

Differentiate your credentials by earning a certificate, as a stand alone credential or to enhance your your degree on your resume. Courses may already be a part of your program curriculum, or you may be able to use general electives depending on how many transfer credits you were awarded. Work with your academic advisor to determine how you can fit one of the following certificates into your degree plan, or which of our stand alone certificates might meet your needs.

Undergraduate degree students may enhance their associate or bachelor's degree with an undergraduate certificate, or bachelor's degree students may take 9 credits of a graduate certificate after they have completed 90 credits of their bachelor's degree program.

Please note, any student who wishes to include a certificate with their degree MUST speak with their advisor PRIOR to taking those classes. Students cannot earn a certificate after they have already completed the required certificate courses.

Choose from the following options:

Talk to your academic advisor to determine which certificate will be best for your goals.

The following three undergraduate certificates are available to you on their own, with no degree requirement, or as an add-on to your associate or bachelor's degree program. Please talk to your admission or academic advisor for more information.

Please note, if you are enrolled in a degree and want to add one of these certificates you must speak with your advisor before completing the certificate courses. Certificates cannot be added to your degree retroactively.

The following certificates are only available to students enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program.  Depending on the certificate and degree, some courses may already be part of the degree curriculum and others will utilize general elective credits.

If you are interested in earning a certificate in addition to your degree you must speak with your academic advisor prior to completing the required courses in the certificate. Certificates cannot be "added" retroactively.

Why Champlain

Online Experience

"I wanted to go to an online school with a good reputation, and with a brick-and-mortar base. So I found Champlain, and that was it. Doing the online program was the only way I could pursue my education, being a mom of three and working full time."
